Winners are Grinners!
We are celebrating awards success after our Charles L King and Co (CLK) First National Team was recently named in the top three offices for sales at the Victoria and Tasmania First National General Excellence and Marketing Awards.
Our office was also named in the top five First National Elite Investor Relations Management Offices of the Year for 2020.
The awards also recognised the achievements of individual agents throughout 2020, with our Co Director Troy O’Brien named in the First National Magnificent Seven – Elite Salesperson of the Year. Troy will now compete for the nation-wide First National General Excellence and Marketing Awards, announced at the national convention in Canberra next month.
Individual CLK Team Awards:
- Troy O’Brien – Diamond Sales Award
- Rowena Ash – Diamond Sales Award
- Wayne Norwood – Gold Sales Award
- Liam Russell – Gold Sales Award
- Gary Wood – Gold Sales Award
- Travis Hore – Silver Sales Award
- Martin Harrison – Silver Sales Award
Congratulations everyone!
Directors Gary Wood and Troy O’Brien praised our CLK team and First National Real Estate for sustaining motivation and an appetite for success during what had been a very challenging year.
“Last year certainly threw up some challenges for our team, with our office closing for an extended period and no opens homes or on-site auctions allowed during the strict COVID-19 lockdowns,” Gary said.
“With the support of First National and a positive attitude from our whole team, we were able to adapt quickly and continue working under a new COVID ‘normal’.

“Thanks to modern technology, that we all have access to, such as FaceTime and video to conduct virtual open homes, we were able to still sell homes and business has remained strong,” he said.
Gary explained how the introduction of online tools such as Openn Negotiation to conduct live auctions online has proved a win, win for all and is here to stay, despite on-site auctions coming back late last year.
“Openn Negotiation has proven very popular with our buyers as an open and transparent option for selling your home,” Wood said.
“Almost all of our online auctions have done very well, selling well above their reserve,” he said.
It was great to get back to the First National State awards after the virtual replacement last year. We all agreed they are an important industry event to encourage all First National agents to aspire to an ongoing process of performance improvement that benefits customers and achieves great results. As well as a good excuse to get dressed up, have a few drinks and dance the night away!
Congratulations again to all the winners!
